2. Problem Statement:
A safe work environment is a productive one. No matter the size or type of the business, workplace
safety procedures are a necessity for all staff. Safety measures protect employees as well as
equipment and business property. Avoiding or minimizing injuries and damage to equipment and
facilities will result in fewer expenses and more profit for a business. It is therefore required to
familiarize the students with the significance of safety and safety protocols while in laboratory for
doing some assignment in order to avoid any mishap in the future.

Different workplace safety signs are displayed according to the nature of the working environment.
But some of the signs are common and displayed most of the time to keep the people working
there or any outsider safe by educating familiarizing them with the surrounding environment and
possible hazards/accidents that can be happened. Some of them are described as below.
5.1. Evacuation Plan
Evacuation plan let the people know which route is to follow to reach the safe assembly area in
case any emergency happens.

Observe and study the safety protocols adopted in the department and complete the lab report
as per the study questions given below.
