NOWPDP Empowers 1100+ Individuals with Disabilities in

Landmark Graduation Ceremony

Karachi, December 5, 2023 — The Network of Organizations Working with


Persons with Disabilities (NOWPDP) celebrated a significant milestone today,
hosting a groundbreaking graduation ceremony that marked the successful
completion of training for 1100+ individuals with disabilities across Pakistan.
The event, held under the Program of NOWPDP's empowering initiative, 'Hunar,'
showcased the graduates' achievements in various trades such as White
Collar, Blue Collar, and Financial Literacy Training.

The graduation ceremony highlighted the diverse skill sets acquired by the
1100+ graduates, demonstrating NOWPDP's commitment to providing
comprehensive training that opens doors to a wide range of professions and
trades. From White Collar professions to Blue Collar trades and Financial
Literacy Training, the graduates are now equipped with the skills necessary for
meaningful employment.

Hunar, one of NOWPDP's seven pillars, has played a pivotal role in


transforming the lives of persons with disabilities. By providing marketable
skills and empowering individuals to secure employment, Hunar is fostering a
new generation of productive and prosperous citizens in Pakistan.

The prestigious gathering was graced by the presence of NOWPDP's


leadership, including President Amin Hashwani and CEO Omair Ahmad.
Corporate and retail partners also actively participated, reaffirming their
commitment to building a more inclusive society and workforce. Special
recognition goes to the esteemed Chief Guest,

Mr. Tuaha Ahmad Faruqui, Secretary, Empowerment of Persons with


Disabilities Department, whose presence added significance to the event.
NOWPDP's graduation ceremony was a platform to recognize and celebrate
