CHEER DANCE COMPETITION

This is the proposed comprehensive set of mechanics and rules for the upcoming Cheer
Dance Competition, aiming to create a safe, engaging, and memorable event for all
participants.

Judging Criteria:
1. Cheer (10 points):
 Originality and Creativity (5 points)
 Energy and Enthusiasm (5 points)
2. Choreography (25 points):
 Variety of Dance Elements (7 points)
 Transitions and Flow (8 points)
 Integration with Cheer (10 points)
3. Synchronization (20 points):
 Precision and Timing (8 points)
 Team Coordination (7 points)
 Uniformity of Movements (5 points)
4. Technique and Execution (15 points):
 Cleanliness and Clarity of Movements (7 points)
 Proper Form and Posture (4 points)
 Flexibility and Agility (4 points)
5. Showmanship and Presentation (15 points):
 Facial Expressions and Engagement (7 points)
 Stage Presence and Confidence (8 points)
6. Music and Routine Selection (10 points):
 Appropriateness to Theme (5 points)
 Creativity in Song Transitions (5 points)
7. Costumes and Visual Appeal (10 points):
 Uniformity and Neatness (5 points)
 Creativity and Suitability (5 points)

Rules:
1. The order of performances will be determined by a random draw conducted prior
to the competition. Houses will be notified of their performance order in advance.
2. Each routine must have a minimum of 5 minutes and not exceed 7 minutes,
starting from entrance to exit.
3. The scoring system must use a scale of 1 to 10 for each criterion, with half-point
increments.
4. There will be a deduction of 2 points for exceeding the time limit and for each
violation of specific rules.
5. Lifting and dangerous stunts are strictly prohibited. Houses must focus on
creative choreography without compromising safety.
6. All participants must wear their respective team shirts during the performance.
7. Each house is limited to a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 30 participants.
8. The committee must ensure that a panel of experienced judges with a
background in dance or cheerleading will judge the event.
9. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

Tie-Breaking Procedures:
1. Overall Impression:
 Judges deliberate and collectively determine the winner based on the
overall impact and impression of the routine.
2. Technical Execution:
 Review the technical execution scores to break the tie.

General rules & Mechanics

ROUND ROBIN GAME

1. All players must be on time. Ten minutes late will be forfeited.


2. All players bring own chessboard,ballpen and blank bond paper for records, and
water for drink.
3. The winner in every game will score 1 point,if loss 0 point, if draw 0.5 both players.
4. Checkmate and resignation can win the game.
5. Stalemate,agreement , three-fold repetetion of position and fifty-move rule can draw
the game.
6. The player who got a highest point will be the champion.
7. If there is a tie in their points,tie breaker game will be done.
8. All houses must submit the names of their players 5 days before the day of the game,
failure to submit , it means forfeited.
9. The list of the players who submitted will be final; there is no substitution, proxy or
replacement will be allowed.
10. This game will do in two setting(white and black pieces will be use by both players).

Other rules will be implement if needed in the time of actual game.
