INTRODUCTION
In my project, I meticulously establish a dedicated nursery at QSU MADDELA CAMPUS to
foster rambutan seedling growth. This includes precise design and setup to meet all requirements.
Careful selection and preparation of rambutan seeds follow, allowing only healthy specimens. Soil
preparation focuses on ideal nutrient composition, while eco-friendly containers like polythene bags
promote root development. Consistent moisture management ensures ideal growth conditions.
Vigilant monitoring and maintenance address potential issues as our commitment to seedling well-
being remains unwavering. Pest control safeguards their health, and meticulous record-keeping
ensures comprehensive oversight of their journey.

The study of the lifecycle of rambutan seedlings embarks on an intriguing odyssey through
the realms of growth and development. This comprehensive investigation unfurls a trove of invaluable
observations and insights into the nascent stages of these tropical fruit trees, casting a radiant spotlight
on their distinctive attributes and environmental prerequisites. The profound comprehension of
Rambutan seedling growth assumes paramount significance, not merely for agricultural enthusiasts
but also for the broader research community, as it significantly contributes to the sustainable
cultivation of this delectable and exotic fruit.
Rambutan, scientifically denoted as Nephelium lappaceum L., stands as a botanical marvel
native to the lush landscapes of Southeast Asia, particularly flourishing in the Malaysian-Indonesian
region. Its botanical kinship with other esteemed fruit species, notably the lychee (Litchi chinensis
Sonn.), presents a tantalizing tapestry of similarities and differentiators. While its shared
morphological features with the lychee are striking, characterized by an enticing white, juicy,
translucent, and subacid-sweet flavored pulp, it's the long, thick, and soft spines or hairs adorning its
shell that set the Rambutan apart. These unique attributes define the fruit and add to its exotic allure.
Notably, rambutan seeds aren't merely repositories of bioactive compounds; they also harbor
essential nutrients and contain significant amounts of edible fat. This revelation holds profound
implications, particularly in the food and pharmaceutical industries, as there's a discernible shift
towards the utilization of natural vegetable fats as substitutes for industrial trans fats. These trans fats,
derived from the hydrogenation or interesterification of vegetable oils, have come under scrutiny for
their potential health risks. As such, the properties of rambutan seed fat (RSF) have assumed a pivotal
role in the pursuit of ensuring the nutrition and well-being of the population.

OBJECTIVES

1: To meticulously observe and meticulously document the various growth stages of rambutan
seedlings.

2. To investigate the correlation between root development and above-ground growth.

3. Evaluate the effectiveness of pest control measures in maintaining seedling health.

4. Examine the influence of watering frequency on seedling growth.

5. Investigate the role of soil composition in fostering robust root development.

BODY OF CONTENT

During Week one of my observation the rambutan seed journey was marked by the initial excitement
of seeing the first signs of life emerge from the planted seeds. These tiny green shoots were the first indicators
that our gardening endeavor was off to a promising start.

During Week two of my observation, the progress of my rambutan seed was uneven. Some seeds had
sprouted into delicate young plants, while others were still in the early stages of germination. The middle of
September brought a significant milestone as the sprouts reached a height of at least half an inch, demonstrating
their determination to grow. However, challenges persisted, particularly in the form of stubborn weeds that
needed constant attention. I diligently maintained the garden by regularly removing these intruders and
providing water, especially during dry spells. My commitment to nurturing these young rambutan plants
remained unwavering, knowing that their growth and development required our continued care.

During Week three of my observation, my efforts was paying off as small leaves began to appear on
the developing rambutan seedlings. These leaves signified not only the plants' progress but also my dedication
to their well-being. Our routine checks included not only tending to the seedlings but also safeguarding them
from potential threats like pests or diseases. I remained vigilant as our young rambutan plants continued to
advance in their growth.

During Week four of my observation, let's imagine the ongoing progress and care for rmy rambutan
seedlings. Building upon the foundation of the previous weeks, we can anticipate further growth, more leaves,
and the development of a stronger root system. My mission to provide the best environment for these young
plants continues, as we look forward to the day when they will bear delicious rambutan fruits, a testament to our
dedication and patience throughout this nurturing process.

During Week five of my observation marked the beginning of my observations, and I noted with
enthusiasm that the seedlings were in excellent health. Their leaves were developing consistently, painting a
picture of vitality and promise. However, it wasn't just the established seedlings that caught my attention; during
this same week, the rambutan seedlings from week 6 started to make their presence felt by sprouting leaves as
well. This promising start fueled my determination to continue closely monitoring their progress and ensuring
that their leaf development remained on the right trajectory. In preparation for any dry spells, I vowed to
maintain an unwavering commitment to providing the appropriate amount of water, thus safeguarding their
well-being.

During week 6, this had sprouted leaves during the previous week, showcased ongoing growth and an
increased number of leaves. The continuity of their development fueled my resolve to remain attentive to their
progress. To ensure their hydration needs were met, I diligently administered additional water as required, thus
cementing their trajectory toward healthy growth.
During week 7, my dedication to monitoring and nurturing the seedlings persisted. The seedlings of
this variety continued to display commendable and steady leaf development, an aspect that brought a sense of
satisfaction and relief. This unwavering growth trajectory affirmed their overall robust health. The rambutan
seedlings

During week 8 in my observation, The signs of growth were increasingly pronounced and promising.
Leaves adorned the seedlings more abundantly, and they exuded an air of vitality. My commitment to their
welfare remained unwavering as I adhered to a consistent schedule of observation. This included ensuring that
the seedlings received the right amount of water, particularly during periods of dry weather. The seedlings, as
well as their week 6 counterparts, were on a remarkable journey of development, one that filled me with
anticipation for the forthcoming weeks.

During Week 9 of my observation the rambutan seedlings continued to unfold with

heightened anticipation. Each seedling, numbered 1 through 10, displayed unique characteristics and
growth patterns. Seedling 1 and Seedling 2, having consistently progressed since week 6, stood
proudly at 155 mm each. Seedling 3, 6, 7, and 9 continued their steady ascent, showcasing heights
ranging between 140 mm and 150 mm. Seedling 4, the resilient leader from the early weeks,
astounded with an impressive height of 170 mm. Seedling 5 demonstrated remarkable progress,
reaching a new height of 145 mm. However, the challenges faced by Seedling 8 became more evident,
struggling to surpass its previous height. Tragically, the fate of Seedling 10 was sealed, unable to
overcome the obstacles, signaling the end of its journey.

During Week 10 of my observation, the individual characteristics and growth patterns that
emerged in the preceding weeks continued to evolve. Seedling 1 and Seedling 2, which had been
steadily progressing since Week 6, now stood proudly at 145 mm each. However, Seedling 2
displayed a reduction in leaf count, indicating a potential shift in its growth dynamics. Seedlings 3, 6,
