Description: This app lesson will develop 3rd to 5th grade math students’ understanding and
fluency in the multiplication table from 1-12.

Instructional Objective: Students will be learning their multiplication table as they

continuously practice the table using the apps below. This will ultimately improve their fluency
which will be used throughout the rest of their educational career.

Step 1 Content-Based or Skill-Based App: Students will first watch a video on the
multiplication table to introduce the topic using the YouTube app.

comfortable and start recognizing the multiplication table as this app is more of a multiple-
choice type of selection.

Step 3 Content-Based or Skill-Based App: Students will then move on to this flashcard game
where they will have to use their multiplication skills more quickly and get even more practice
in.

Step 4 Content-Based or Skill-Based App: At the end of the lesson, students will make
their own quizlet, putting all the multiplication table in it, then take the quiz and
submit a screenshot of their score to the teacher. (A couple weeks later the students
could take the quiz again and hopefully improve their score if it wasn’t great to start
with!).
