Chapter III

METHODOLOGY

This chapter describes the research techniques that should be used by

the researcher when carrying out the study. These techniques include the
research design, sampling design, respondents of the study, data
gathering procedures, data collection instruments, statistical/ analytical
tools.

Research design
The method of research Researchers used quantitative techniques to
create this study. The researcher made an effort to find solutions to the
aforementioned problem in order to support and fulfill the study's aims.
Quantitative research involves the use of computational, statistical, and
mathematical tools to derive results. It also attempted to understand the
different impacts to their way of life.

Sampling design
The researchers use probability random sampling method, because the
study is focused on academic achievement of students and the
respondents is students of San Rafael National High School per section
in HUMSS strands to the survey that will be conducted.

Respondents of the study

The respondent of the study is composed of humss students in San
Rafael national high school. One of the processes of this study is to keep
successful. All these respondents was selected through solvin's formula.
In this sampling method is conducted where each of the students in 4
section has a capacity to become part of the study. The chosen
respondents are containing of thirty (30) respondents from selected in 12
humss students. The 12 celestino, 12 tanay , 12 Rubio and 12 delfino.
That those section was chosen by the researcher's.

DATA GATHERING PROCEDURE

The researchers will create a survey questioners the survey questioners
has 2 parts the first part is about is will focus on be what is the
students parental social income and occupation the second part will
takle about is there an effect of parental socioeconomic status on
educational achievement of the students the survey questioners will be
conduct to 4 section in HUMSS the respondents will answer the
following questions in researchers survey through survey questioners the
researchers will gather the data
