conference call with your Mr. Vito Barcelo (“Mr. Barcelo”) on 10 August 2020.

This is to confirm the matters that our Atty. Mary Judith Joan B.
Encarnacion and your Mr. Barcelo discussed during their conference call on 10
August 2020.

Particularly, you agreed and committed to retract, delete, and pull out the
article entitled “Fil-Chi contractor tells Duterte of DPWH ‘corruption’” (the
“Article”),1 from your manilastandard.net website (the “Website”) or any of your

other publications; provided, that, our client does not institute the appropriate
civil and criminal cases against you and your responsible officers.

Our client agrees to your proposal and will execute a quitclaim; provided,
that, you acknowledge that there is no truth to the report in the Article,
considering that the alleged complaint of a certain Mr. Jingxy Fu (“Mr. Fu”)
mentioned therein is unverified and unconfirmed.

With the foregoing, our client expects that you make good of your
commitment within two (2) days from receipt of this letter.

We would appreciate your confirmation of the foregoing matters by

affixing your signature and conformity on spaces provided below and returning
to us the enclosed original copy of this letter with your signatures.

On the other hand, should you choose not to honor your commitment and
retain the Article in any of your publications, our client will already proceed to
pursue all legal remedies available and file the necessary actions in court and the
other concerned authorities against you and your responsible officers to protect
its rights and reputation.

We trust that you will treat this matter with your utmost and preferential
attention.
