Q12. Read the passage given below and answer the questions that follow.
Equlibrium represents the state of a process in which the properties like temperature, pressure,
concentration of the system do not show any change with the passage of time. In all processes which
attain equilibrium, two opposing processes are involved and at equilibrium, the rates of two opposing
processes becomes equal. The value of equilibrium constant is not affected by the addition of catalyst
and is constant at constant temperature. The magnitude of the equilibrium constant gives the idea of
the relative amounts of the reactants and products. If in a system in equilibrium, the concentration at
any one part is disturbed, it no longer remains in equilibrium and readjusts its concentration to re-
establish the equilibrium .
