with full-face rubber gaskets and at least four (4) full diameter bolts. A rust inhibitor shall be applied to all
flange faces. All vapor inhibitor phase (VIP) crystal bags shall be tied securely to flange covers, to ensure
they are removed when the cover is removed.
16.15 Solid steel plugs shall be installed in all openings which are pressurized during startup or operation.
Open ends of tubes and pipe shall be capped for protection. Taping shall not be acceptable.

17. Vendor Data and Documentation

17.1 Drawings
17.1.1 Drawings and data shall be provided with the proposal and during the design and manufacturing
stages. SABIC will review and comment on all drawings and data submitted for design review until such
time as the final documents are reviewed without comment.
17.1.2 Shop drawings shall be submitted showing plan and elevation views with overall and
interconnection point dimensions, fuel consumption rate curves at various loads, ventilation and
combustion air requirements, and electrical diagrams, including schematic and interconnection diagrams.
17.1.3 Vendor shall provide the following generator performance and characteristic curves with proposal,
and after receipt of order:
a. Open-circuit saturation curves
b. Reactive capability curves
c. Current decrement curves (three phase short circuit, line-to-line short circuit, and line-to-ground
short circuit
d. Excitation V curves
e. Voltage versus frequency capability curve
f. Output as a function of cooling water input to the coolers at Class B and Class F temperature
rises
17.1.4 Excitation curves for all current transformers shall be supplied.
17.1.5 Generator reactive capability curves, generator open-circuit saturation curves, and generator
current decrement curves (or tabulations) shall be submitted. The generator current decrement curves
shall be for a 3-phase short circuit, line-to-line short circuit, and a line-to-ground short circuit.
17.1.6 Exciter and voltage regulator data shall be submitted for SABIC 's system stability studies.
17.2 Operation and Maintenance Manual
Manufacturer shall provide 3 copies of operation and maintenance manuals and as-built drawings in
accordance with purchase order requirements. These documents will ultimately become an integral part
of SABIC’s operation and maintenance manuals for the project. The manual shall include the following
information:
a. Procedures for unloading and storage. Storage may be outdoor or indoor for extended periods.
b. Installation instructions including pre-operative inspections and functional check out, including all
protective functions
c. Operating instructions, and troubleshooting charts, with corrective recommendations
17.3 Spare Parts
The generator and engine manufacturers shall provide a list of recommended startup and operating spare
parts to SABIC.
