● Collaborated with a team of researchers from multiple institutions to establish a large-scale
experiment investigating the effects of cattle management strategies on ecosystem health at the
Konza Prairie LTER, Manhattan, KS
● Conducted biotic and abiotic measurements and installed grazing exclosures at field sites in
Kansas, Montana, and Wyoming grasslands
● Carried out percent cover estimates of vegetation in native tallgrass and mixed grass prairie
● Conducted vacuum insect collection from over 200 square-meter plots
● Taught vacuum insect collection to a team of undergraduates

primary succession in riparian ecosystems

● Carried out percent cover estimates of vegetation in large plots in forest and riparian systems
● Keyed out native and non-native plant species using field guides and online databases
● Performed mechanical removal of plants and foliar and cut-stem herbicide treatments
