“Planning is bringing the future to present so that you can do something about it now.” – Alan
Lakein. We take measures, list possibilities, expect different kinds of outcomes, in short, we plan ahead
of time to reduce the risks we may encounter in the future, as a SDRRM personnel, planning is essential
in our field because we know we can’t control the future, but we also know we can be prepared for it.

In response to the mandate of DM. no. 241, s. 2023-Conduct of School DRRM


contingency planning workshop Ramos West Elementary School Teaching Staff organized a
two-day session of School Disaster Risk Reduction Management Contingency Planning on 6tth
& 7th day of December 202. That is why Ramos West Elementary School of San Isidro, Isabela
created this contingency plan aims to be ready in unprecedented phenomena.

The schedule of conducting of SDRRM Contingency Plan in the school was set and
made possible because of collaboration of our school head, teaching staff of Ramos West
Elementary School & SBDRRM. The training started at 8:00 am and ended at 5:00 in the
afternoon, with a registration of participants composed of Ramos West Elementary School
Teaching Staff, Non-Teaching & SBDRRM. In second day the participants do collaborative
planning and take an action implementation to the activity that were given by the resource
speaker, Ma’am Arlyn B. Mindaros, Teacher II/SDRRM Coordinator of Ramos West
Elementary School.
