I. Title: Brigada Eskwela 2022

IV. Participants: Sampaguita Teaching and Non- teaching Personnel, Students, Alumni, and
Stakeholders
V. Objectives:
1. To formally commence the Brigada Eskwela 2022
2. To encourage the Sampaguita High School community and stakeholders to take part in
the activities of Brigada Eskwela 2022
3. To conduct Brigada Eskwela-related activities that will help the students, the parents,
and the teachers of Sampaguita High School

VI. Insights:
Brigada Eskwela is an annual school maintenance program that involves the participation
of all our learners, educational stakeholders, teachers, and school administration. This is where
everyone gives away their time, effort, expertise, and even resources to make sure that
everything is put into place before the start of the upcoming school year.
In line with this, the Sampaguita High School continues its participation and active
involvement in Brigada Eskwela 2022 as the school conducts various activities. The first activity I
attended was the Dance Practice of Brigada Eskwela 2022 which happened last August 1,
2022, in preparation for the Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off Program. This was attended by the faculty
of SHS and facilitated by SSG students.
On August 2, 2022, we had the opportunity to personally meet several stakeholders
like Mrs. Ma. Lourdes “Babes” San Andres of brgy. Loma de Gato and Mr. Lary Ruado of Dar’s
Professional Lights and Sounds. These meetings aim to communicate with our partners regarding
the services and donations that they can provide to our school for the Brigada Eskwela 2022.
Prior to the commencement of Brigada Eskwela 2022, I was working with the English
Department Reading Program Coordinator, Mrs. Mary Grace T. Barcelon for the completion of the
Brigada Pagbasa 2022 Action Plan which is also part of the programs of Brigada Eskwela this
year. The completion of the Action Plan happened on August 2-4, 2022.
The next activity was the official Kick Off Program for Brigada Eskwela 2022 which
happened last August 5, 2022. As the Program and Communication Coordinator, I was assigned
to the dissemination of announcements about the program and to the organization of the program
flow.
On August 8-12, 2022, Webinar Series were held virtually which aims to equip the
students, teachers, and other stakeholders with the essential knowledge and skills that they need
as we go back to the face-to-face classes. The webinars were spearheaded by different
departments and offered various topics relating to Face to Face Learning, Disaster Risk
Management, Vegetable Production, Effective Reading Skills, Smart Parenting, and Choosing a
Healthy Breakfast.

Concurrent with the Webinar Series was the commencement of the week-long BASA-
RIAN (Bumabasang Sampaguitarian) Reading Camp 2022 which also took place last
August 8-12, 2022. This activity was part of the Brigada Pagbasa 2022 and collaboration of the
Filipino and English Department Reading Programs. The Reading Camp aims to inculcate love and
culture for reading among students through the provision of different fun reading activities. This
was attended by selected students from Grade 7-10 students and facilitated by English and
Filipino teachers.
A face-to-face seminar for teachers was conducted by the Council of Instructional Leaders
of the school last August 15, 2022. The seminar focused on two essential topics relating to
Integrative Assessment and Flipped Classroom. The seminar was facilitated by Mrs. Rachel
S. Dela Cruz, Master Teacher I from Filipino Department, and Mr. Arnold M. Arenas, Master
Teacher I from Math Department. This was attended by the faculty member of Sampaguita High
School.
From August 16-19, 2022, the Parents and Students’ Orientation for each Grade Level
was held respectively. The orientations were conducted face-to-face at SHS Covered Court and
spearheaded by the Grade Level Chairman, Supervisors, and Teachers. For these orientations, a
Help Desk was also established by me as the School Information Coordinator. The Help Desk
aims to provide assistance to the queries and clarifications of the students and parents regarding
the Enrollment, Brigada Pagbasa and other back-to-school related concerns. The Help Desk was
available from August 15-26, 2022.
As part of the bac-to-school preparation, we also had our Filipino Department
Meetings from August 16-19 right after each Grade Level’s orientation which aims to plan,
strategize, and organize activities for the department for the whole school year. Other
department-related matters were also discussed during these meetings.
My last activity involvement for the Brigada Eskwela 2022 was the establishment of the
School Information Bulletin Board which aims to provide a functional bulletin board for the
school’s information regarding Data Privacy Notice, PRAISE Awards, Hotline, COVID-19 Response,
School Calendar, Learning Schedule, School Discipline and School Memo.
