Title of Activity:
Cluster Training Workshop on Laws on Women and Children, Budgeting
Using HGDG and Use of Other Analysis Tools for Teachers
Date: December 5-6, 2019

Objectives:
1. Develop a better understanding of the teachers on Laws of Women and
Children, budgeting using HGDG as an analysis tool addressing gender issues in
school programs, projects and activities;
2. Deepen the commitment of teachers in advocating gender-responsive
working and learning environments;
3. Strengthen the capacity of the teachers and School Gender Focal Point
System (GFPS) members on gender related laws and support the full implementation
of Magna Carta of Women, and;
4. Intensify the School’s commitment on gender and development towards a
gender-responsive agency through proper preparation of GAD plans utilization of
budgets.

Expected Number of Participants: 8 teachers and 1 School Head

PART II
NARRATIVE REPORT
The 2019 Gender and Development Training conducted on December
5-6, 2019 at North Central Conference Hall, North Central Elementary School. The two-
day Cluster Training Workshop on Laws on Women and Childen, Budgeting Using
HGDG and Use of Other Analysis Tools for Teachers spearheaded by the four school
heads from different schools, Mrs. Ilyne M. Maya, Mrs. Analyn M. Gumangan, Mrs.
Joann M. Medrana and Mrs. Leni Villadelgado

commencing the training. The participants sang the National Anthem led by

NARRATIVE REPORT
Reading is one of the very important element of education. Remedial
reading is used to address the slow and non-readers inside the classroom. The
teaching staffs of Pecson Memorial Elementary School together with our Principal,
Mrs. Joann M. Medrana conducted a School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) on Filipino
regarding on Remedial Reading and Strategies and Techniques in Teaching Reading
in Filipino scheduled October 23, 2019 at 8:00a.m. to 12:00nn during Mid-year
Performance Review and Evaluation (MPRE).
The program started with the mini-opening program headed by Mrs.
Violeta C. Menes, Teacher 2. It started with the singing of National Anthem followed
by a prayer.
Mrs. Marylou M. Marpa, LAC Facilitator discussed her topic about
“Remedial Reading”. The participants
The session ended with a lot of learning about Microsoft which they may apply
on their daily activities inside the classroom.
