1 Purpose
➢ All excavation (Apartment & MEP building) & site clearing and back filling
will be carried out in accordance with the specification detailed in the BOQ,
drawings & tender specifications.
2 Scope
4 Equipment
➢ Excavator – 120
➢ JCB
➢ Lorry
➢ Plate Compactor
➢ Total station
➢ Level machine
➢ Level staff
➢ Porker Vibrate
5 PPE Materials
➢ Following PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) should be provide in order to
all work.
• Safety Helmets
• Safety Boots
• Safety Masks
• Hand Gloves
• High visibility vest
➢ Site Engineer
➢ Site Supervisor
➢ Skilled Labors
➢ Unskilled Labors
➢ Machine Operators as required.
7 Methodology
➢ Site clearing
• Where the existing ground surface is covered with the topsoil or unsuitable
material will be completely removed.
• Topsoil will be removed and transported to the disposal yard.
➢ Completion of setting out as per the approved method statement.
➢ Removing of top soil up to raft top level including 1m away from building
perimeter line.
➢ Completion earth work system as per the approved method statement.
➢ Start the excavation up to required level using JCB and Excavator.
➢ Excavated soil disposal off site with using lorry and JCB, disposal soil stock in
adjoining rented land for backfilling.
➢ After completion of entire raft concrete, backfilling work shall be carried out by
300mm layers and compact using water & porker vibrators.
➢ Porker vibrator shall be inserted at 450mm regular interval in both directions &
450mm depth.
➢ In accordance with the BML Health and safety guidelines & tender specification.
