This is an open-ended question which student not restricted to below answer.
Each item describes (time: 5 marks), (cost: 5 marks) and (quality: 5 marks)

The project is under budget because, on the report date the accumulated actual construction cost is
(80%) less than the accumulated planned construction cost (83%) which is the budget for the planned
work that corresponds to the same amount of actual completed work. The project is exceeding project
time because, on the report date the accumulated actual project time is (85%) more than the
accumulated planned construction time (73%) which is the project time for the planned work that
corresponds to the same amount of actual completed work. Project manager able to fulfil the
application of Scope-Budget-Schedule-Quality which project not exceed budget, within the time and
good quality.

(c) [6 marks] TWO (2) actions/ suggestion need to be taken


Even the project is below budget and exceed the time progress, student need to comes out with possible
issue/suggestion to highlight to management

1. Scope: the boundary of project needs to be completed which being required by customer. It is being
documented in the project contract
2. Budget: Amount of investment or cost of the managing the project which need to be managed
accordingly.
3. Schedule: Time being given or planned in ensuring project is completed.

(b) [16 marks] Each explanation on the application is 4 marks.


1. Scope: project, which consist of one-unit reinforced concrete 2-storeys bungalow house building
that being constructed in Semenyih, Selangor
2. Schedule: 24 months
3. Budget: RM 1,110,000 (overall project)
4. Quality: Develop the project cost-planning base on estimation budget given by the client from
dealing with District Office until complete of the house. Develop the costing by using the most
widely used cost estimating techniques known as Bottom-up estimating OR also called analytical
estimating. The design of the bungalow house must have its own aesthetic value for your client
and the cost must be as optimum as possible to meet the client’s requirement and satisfaction.
