that expresses a complete idea is called a
sentence.

1. Simple sentence: A simple sentence has only one clause. Ex: I love chocolate.

Structures of Sentence 2. Compound sentence: A compound sentence has two or more clauses. Ex:I love
chocolate and I love eating chocolate.

subordinate clauses. Ex: Her father died when she was young.
