Work Preparation
1. Safety
Switch off the power supply prior to any maintenance and put UNDER MAINTENANCE Board on the
panel, also switch off the CB of respective crane.
2. Tools and Equipments Required
(a) Paint Brush (b) Torch (c) Spanners (d) Dust clothes (e) Sand papers (f) Safety Helmet
(g) WD-40 (h) Grease. (i) Lubrication Oil (j) Screw driver set

NOTE:- Use scissor lift to access bridge area of crane to check for any fault.

1 Main Girder Check for any Mechanical Damage.
Check for any weld seems for cracks.
2 Limit switches Check functionalities of limit switches.
Unscrew and remove the limit switches and
then clean all limit switches
3 Gear box Check the lubrication oil level in gear boxes
of hoist.
Check for any leakage.
4 Emergency Check operation of emergency switch.

nipples with the use of grease gun
10 Nut bolt Tighten all nuts of the drive couplings.

Check tie rod nuts and tighten if necessary
11 Checking of hoist Inspect the brake shoe thickness, if found
brakes less than 3mm, replace it.
Lift the nominal load of the given crane and
check for hoist brake while lifting.
Check rope wire for any broken stand.
12 Miscellaneous Check hook and hook safety latch for any
crack or damage.
Air cleaning of crane bridge platform, cabin
etc.
