 Second part II :
what is engineering ?
Engineering is the application of science and maths to solve problems. While scientists and
inventors come up with innovations, it is engineers who apply these discoveries to the real world,
and it is part of STEM education, which aims to engage students with science, technology,
engineering and mathematics yet, as a discipline, it has been practiced for thousands of years. You
can see examples of engineering in the Pyramids of Giza, at Stonehenge, the Parthenon and
elsewhere. Yet, today’s engineers operate in many different areas as well as building structures.

Engineers are involved in the design, evaluation, development, testing, modification, inspection
and maintaining of a wide range of products, structures and systems. This involves everything from
the recommending of materials and processes, overseeing manufacturing and construction
processes, and conducting failure analysis and investigation .

Qst : Why did you choose to study engineering and to be an engineer ?

Optimus Tesla robot
Optimus, also known as Tesla Bot, is a conceptual general-purpose robotic humanoid under

development by Tesla, Inc It was announced at the company's Artificial Intelligence (AI) Day event on

August 19, 2021. CEO Elon Musk claimed during the event that Tesla would likely build a prototype

by 2022. Musk is on record having said that he thinks Optimus "has the potential to be more

significant than the vehicle business over time."

Qst : what do you know about this new robot ? .

Second part II :
Chemical Engineering in Aerospace
Chemical engineers can work in Aerospace, specifically in departments dealing with heating or
reactions. They may also work on the production of fuels and propellants, as well as develop new
materials for aerospace engineering applications. In recent years, chemical engineers have also been
employed in the development of bio-based fuels and materials.

We can take an example about NASA that hires chemical engineers for various roles. Some of the
areas that NASA employs chemical engineers include propulsion, aircraft and spacecraft design,
energy systems, and environmental sciences. Chemical engineers are also employed in mission
control and in the development of new technology.

Qst : what is the roles of Chemical Engineers in NASA and in Aerospace in general ?

Second part II :
Solar powered mobile charging
Every day in this modern era, a new technology is introduced in a mobile phone, and one of
those technology is solar mobile charger that can be seamlessly incorporated into the protective case
of the mobile phone.

A solar charger is a charger that employs solar energy to supply electricity to devices or batteries.
They are generally portable, and they can be used when no electricity supply is available—either
mains or, for example, a vehicle battery—and are sometimes suggested as a way to charge phones
without consuming mains electricity, unlike electrical cell phone chargers the proposed design traps
solar energy and stores it in a rechargeable battery. This system has the ability to serve dual role,
both as a protective case and act as power backup for the mobile phone….

Qst : tell us more about this solar charger .
