Subject: Dust Suppression System for Stacker-Reclaimer

Reference: -

QUERY 1
DESCRIPTION:
According to Section 4.3.1, Book 3 - P2C7S4 of Contract document, the requirement for the dust suppression system
is specified for the stacker-reclaimer as follows.
"The dust suppression for transfer towers by spray water and vacuum system shall be provided at the chutes and the
boom conveying skirtings"
As per the requirement of Contract document, the water spray type of the dust suppression system will be supplied
for the stacker-reclaimer transfer chutes.
However, we are understanding that followings might be typo.
1. The suppression for transfer towers by spray water ~
- “transfer towers” should be changed to “transfer chutes” because this requirement is for stacker-reclaimer transfer
chutes and the transfer towers are not the parts of the stacker-reclaimer.
2. by spray water and vacuum system ~
- “vacuum system” should be deleted because we haven't seen the vacuum system on the stacker-reclaimer
transfer chutes even though we have executed the huge number of coal fired-power plant project.

We, therefore, request the Owner to confirm if following comprehension is correct.

"The dust suppression for transfer towers chutes by spray water and vacuum system shall be provided at the chutes
and the boom conveying skirtings.
