POLARIPOP Miniature NONOS
POLARIPOP Miniature NONOS
NO every now and then, when everybody around wants something from you. Also watch out for
* I am using Catania by Schachenmayr for most of my smaller dolls, but of course you can choose any yarn or material you want to.
For making amigurumis I recommend using a crochet hook at least 1 size lower/smaller than the suggested size (usually you can find
the suggested size stated on the label of your ball of yarn). This will make your creations strong and sturdy, and you will be able to
stuff them well and tight.
ABBREVIATIONS
To follow the pattern you‘ll only need some basic crochet knowledge. Please have a look at my website
st = stitch
rd = round
R = row
MR = Magic Ring
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
tc = treble crochet
dec = decrease (crochet 2 stitches together)
inc = increase (2 stitches into 1 stitch of previous round or row)
BLO = crochet into back loop only
FLO = crochet into front loop only
(xy)*z = repeat within brackets (repeat stitches x+y z times)
these parts only once, and I am using the piglet as an example. You will start all boots with white yarn, and then switch
to the color you chose for the body of your NONO. Same with the arms: start all arms with white yarn, and when the
chart tells you to „change colors“, this is when you change to any color chosen by you for the doll.
Start with white yarn. Don‘t forget to stuff the legs every 3-4 rounds.
Rd 2: ( inc ) * 5 (+5) = 10 st
Rd 3: 1 rd sc into BLO = 10 st
Rd 4: 1 rd sc = 10 st
Rd 7-9: 3 rds of sc = 7 st
Change colors.
Rd 11-20: 10 rds sc = 7 st
LEG 1: Add another 3-4 stitches in the round, until you reach the
back of the leg. Finish off, cut the yarn and weave in the end.
LEG 2: Repeat round 1 to round 20, and add another 2 stiches in the
round, until you reach the crotch of the doll, but do not finish off.
Leg 2 is ready. Do not finish off, but make 3 chains to connect Now make a sc into each of the 3 chains connecting the legs,
leg 2 with leg 1. Now continue with 7 sc around leg 1 (starting and then another 7 sc into the stitches of leg 2. This leaves you
at the crotch of leg 1). with a round of 20 stitches (3 chains, 7 sc around leg 1, sc into
each of the connecting 3 chains, and another 7 sc around leg 2).
Don‘t forget to stuff the body every now and then. The round
connecting the legs will not count as around. Continue like this:
Rd 1-7: 7 rds of sc = 20 st
Rd 9: 1 rd of sc = 16 st
Rd 11-13: 3 rds of sc = 12 st
Rd 15: 1 rd of sc = 6 st
Finish off and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for attaching the head.
ARMS (x2)
Change colors.
Rd 4: 1 rd of sc into BLO = 6 st
Rd 5-24: 20 rds of sc = 6 st
Finish off and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for attaching the arms.

All NONOs Mini have the same stubborn eyes. Timmy Tough, the piglet, shows you how to embroider them in the
pictures above. One eye should be 5 stitches wide, and positioned approximately 3 stitches underneath the ears.
