SCOPE, This standard specifies the quality and test methods for connectors for }6y-¥) tage electric Wires (hereinafter referred to as "the connectors") and terminals used fa aemobiles Remarks 1. The units and numerical values in this standard are specified yafaed in aécordance with the Intemational System of Units (SI), and those in { }are mee SP on customary units. 2. Lead-free solder shall be used for the solder used in the tests in-thié standard. 2. While applying vibration, check the change in resistance when the electricity is applied. The energizing conditions shall conform to Table 10. ‘The resistance values of the wires shall be subtracted from the measured values. Directions of vibration shall be up-lown, right-left, and fore-aft, and duration of vibration shall be 3 hours in each direction. While other conditions shall conform to the conditions of vibration (V1/V2/V3) shown in Table 11. D 3217-18 [2018/02/17 08:23:58) 21/38 5.3.13 Dust resistance Put the connectors in an airtight tank having approximately 1000 mm each side, spray 1.5 kg of Portland cement specified in JIS R 5210 (Portland cement) for 10 seconds in every 15 minutes using compressed air, and diffuse evenly with a fan etc. This shall be repeated 8 cycles, inserting and withdrawing connectors every two cycles. 5.3.14 Ozone Resistance Leave the connectors in the test condition (concentration of ozone; 50+5 pphm, in the chamber; 402 °C) which is specified in JIS K 6259 (Rubber, vuleanize: thermoplastics - Determination of ozone resistance ), for 100 hours. 5.3.15 Sulfur dioxide resistance Leave the terminals or connectors in a chamber filled with 10 ppm sul temperature of 4042°C and humidity of 90 to 95 % for 24 hours.
