Carry out the cycle test thrae times, whose conditions of one cycle are shown in Figure 1, and observe whether or not there is generation of deformation cto. of the specimen. ‘Observe the test specimen after the high temperature test in the first oycle and the first whole cycle as well. Constant temperature and humidity tast may be omitted for a molded plastic part made from, the material of 24 hours water absorption rate under 0.5 % according ta ASTM D670, like polypropylene. Carry out high temperature test in the constant temperature chamber etc. equipped with an infrared lamp, and keep the surface of test specimen at the specified temperature by radiating with the infrared lamp after the etmospherle temperature of chamber reaches the ‘specified temperature. Carry out low tamperature and constant temperaturefhumidity tests by keeping the specimen for the specified time in the thermo-hydrostatic chamber retained at the specified atmospheric temperature and humidity. Carry out three times of eycle test, whose conditions of one cycle are shown in Figure 2, and ‘observe whether or not there is generation of deformation etc. of the specimen. Figure 3 shows example of method for measuring surface temperature of a test specimen. ‘Observe the test specimen after the high temperature test in the first oycle and the first whoke cycle as well, Constant temperature and humidity test may be omitted for a molded plastic part made of the material of 24 hours water absorplion rete under 0.5 % according to ASTM D570, like polypropytene, Low temperature test —»/¢—Constant temperature} urnidity test Figure 2. Carry out high temperature test so as to keep a test specimen at the specified temperature by hot air te. on the near surface of the specimen (referred to as “heated surface" in the following) in the specified etmospherts temperature. Carry out low and constant tampereture/numidity test by keeping the specimen in the thermo-hydrostatie chamber retained at the specified atmospheric temperature and humidity. Carry out cycle test three times, whose conditions of one cycle are shown in Figure 4, and observe the test specimen whether or not there is generation of deformation etc. Observe the specimen afer the high temperature test inthe first cycle and the first whole cycle as well. ‘Constant temperature and humidity test may be omitted for a molded plastic part made of the materiel of 24 hours water absorption rate under 0.6 % according to ASTM D970, like polypropylene. stant temperate) umidity test J 012°C, 90% RH min, wai 15min Figure 4 Conditions for cycle test of Method C MITSUBISHI FUSO TRUCK & BUS CORPORATION 'SPEC_NO. Water Resistance After immersing a test specimen for 240 hours in the het water conditioned at the temperature of 402°C, wash It with water and dry off it by air blow. Then, leave the specimen for 1 hour in the standard conditions, and observe whether or not discoloration or fading appears on it. ‘The test may be carried out with a finished part instead of a test specimen.
