SUBJECT DepEd 12 days of Christmas: A Thanksgiving Celebration of the Yuletide Season

1. The Schools Division Office — City of San Fernando, Pampanga (SDO-CSFP) with reference to
Regional Memorandum No. 609, s.2023 announces the conduct of DepEd 12 days of Christmas: A
Thanksgiving Celebration of the Yuletide Season with the theme that will revolve around
"Pilipino/Pinoy" and "Makulay." All schools and all Offices in the SDO are enjoined to participate in the
abovementioned. activity that will. commence. on. December 4, 2023 duthig. the. Simultaneous. Flag
Raising Ceremony and Event Kickoff. In the 12-day activities, there will also be a National Thanksgiving
Mass on December 8, 2023.

2. Additionally, the remaining days should be planned and conducted based on the theme provided.
School Heads and Division Chiefs are requested to ensure the proper implementation and
documentation of the 12-day activities. An accomplishment Report must be submitted through the
google drive link: https://bit.ly/12daysofChristmasAR until December21, 2023.

3. Attached in this memorandum is a copy of Regional Memorandum No. 609, 2023 for further reference.
Also enclosed are the Division Office activities for the 12 days of Christmas, schools will have the option
to modify or adopt the activities.

Chiefs, Functional Divisions

1. The Department of Education, through the Bureau of Human Resource and

Organizational Development-Employee Welfare Division (BHROD-EWD), will
conduct the 12 Days of Christnwzs: Makulay ang Pasko ng Parnhlyang Pilipino, this
Yuletide Season.

2. This year's theme will revolve around "Pilipino/Pinoy" and "Makulay", which
will highlight how Filipinos depict Christmas as the most remarkable, colorful, and
festive time of the year. The 12-day event will commence on December 4, 2023.

3. Relative to this celebration, all DepEd offices and schools are enjoined to:

a. participate in the online national activities which will be live streamed via
official Facebook Page of DepEd;

• December 4 - Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony and Event Kick Off

• December 8 - National Thanksgiving Mass

b. organize 12-day activities based on the theme.

4. To ensure the efficient management of the scheduled simultaneous activities

for the celebration, the Human Resource Development Division-Employee Welfare
(HRDD-EW) will advise the Senior Education Program Specialist (SEPS) and
Education Program Specialist (EPS) through the official Facebook Messenger group
chat for the details.

5. Enclosed is the Memorandum DM-OUHROD-2023-1700 from Atty. Michael

Wesley T. Poa, Undersecretaz-y and Chief of Staff, Officer-in-Charge, Office of the
Undersecretary for Human Resource and Organizational Development, for reference
and guidance.

The DepEd Central Office through the Bureau of Human Resource and
Organizational Development - Employee Welfare Division (BHROD-EWD) will
conduct the 12 Days of Christmas: Makulay ang Pasko ng Pamilyarig Filipino, this
Yuletide Season. This year's theme will revolve around "Pilipino/Pinoy" and
"Makulay", which will highlight how Filipinos depict Christmas as the most
remarkable. colorful, and festive time of the year. More than the material grandeur
that comes with the festivity. it is the heart of evely Filipino that makes this season
a beautiful and a colorful story to tell. The 12-day event will commence on December
4, 2023.

In view of the foregoing, all DepEd offices and schools are enjoined to:

a. Participate in the online national activities which will be live streamed via the
official Facebook Page of DepEd:
• December 4 Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony and Event Kick off
• December 18 National Thanksgiving Mass
b. Organize 12-day activities at the RO, SDO. and Schools based on the theme.

To ensure the efficient management of the scheduled simultaneous activities for the
celebration, all Regional Directors are requested to assign a focal person
responsible for coordinating all activities related thereto. The Offices of the Regional
Directors arc requested to submit the name/s of their designated Focal Person/s

A separate Notice of Meeting with the identified Regional Focal Person will be released
to discuss further details.
