HOME LEARNING SPACE AND ACTIVITIES

Grade 3-LANSONES, S.Y. 2021-2022

I. Introduction

“Everyone should have an opportunity to learn in a positive environment, to enjoy the

learning process, and feel comfortable and content within it.” -Barry Saide-

Positive learning environment should be prioritized and made to have an effective

teaching and learning process. It plays a crucial role in shaping learner’s educational
development. To achieve this environment, the learners must be fostered with love, care and
support. It is an essential part of learning where learners feel comfortable and secured. It helps
improve attention, reduce anxiety, and supports emotional and behavioral regulation of the
learners. It also boosts learner’s ability to learn and to be productive in learning things on their
own.
Classroom environment is one of the most important factors that affect student learning.
An ideal classroom learning is when the learners view their classroom as friendly and
supportive. When the classroom is inviting, learners are more likely to acquire higher
motivation that leads to a wonderful learning outcomes.
Even in the midst of pandemic, Lemery Pilot Elementary School (LPES) is committed
in providing excellence in terms of quality education for the learners . With the new normal
learning set up, LPES teachers ask the cooperation of the parents to become innovative to
meet the needs of the young ones, especially with their education, as education is an
extremely valuable gift that can be given to them. They encouraged the parents to create a
conducive learning space at home .
A good home learning space stimulates the learners to have positive attitudes to
learning, to be curious, and to have confidence in themselves. A favorable study area would
help them to be more focused that yields to productivity. Good study environment can be a
significant factor in the success of learning, the lesser the distractions, the higher the focus
and information retention. A peaceful study area helps improve concentration and sharpens
the mind.
Even in a small home, the you can create a designated space for learning. With the
collaborative effort of the family, this space will be converted into a “classroom. A dedicated
home learning space can develop the learners creativity, focus and performance. Learning
will definitely takes place because it will create a vibe at which the learners would feel as if
they are actually studying, similar in a classroom setting. With the different learning
materials, their literacy and numeracy skills will be enhanced and more importantly their
innate love for learning will be developed.

II. Objectives

Specifically, it aims:

➢ To make a learning space at home with conducive learning environment.

➢ To develop the learners’ genuine love for learning.
➢ To improve the performance level of the learners.

III. Highlights of Accomplishments

Grade Three Lansones enjoyed their
learning area at home. A positive atmosphere in
their home learning space motivates them to
study harder even in the midst of pandemic

It is important that from the very
beginning, children are introduced to a variety
of books to read because every book
provides you an opportunity to learn and
explore new ideas.
Learners in Grade Three Lansones
showed a deep passion in reading to improve
their reading ability and comprehension to
sharpen their mind . Their positive attitude
toward reading contributes to their academic
performance.

IV. Ways Forward and Recommendations

To create a big impact in learning process and to improve the academic and holistic
development of the learners in the existence of home learning space, the following additional
activities are recommended.

• Sustain the best practices, strategies and notable aspects that made the success of
the activities.

• Conduct virtual training that intensify the academic performance of the learners.

• Monitor the progress of the students to assess if they learned.
