UCSP REPORTING
How can we become a part of the society?

To integrate into society, actively engage with your community,


build meaningful relationships, respect cultural norms,
contribute to local initiatives, and remain open-minded to
different perspectives and backgrounds, fostering a sense of
belonging and connection. We become a part of the society
through:
Enculturation
it refers to the process of learning and
internalizing rules, values, and
expectations of one's culture.
Norms
is a rule that guides the behavior of
members of a society or group.

Values
are culturally defined standards that people
use to decide what is desirable, good, and that
serve as broad guidelines for social living.
Socialization
refers to a lifelong social experience by
which people develop their human
potential and learn culture.

Socialization have 3 Goals


1. Impulse control and develop a conscience

The first goal of socialization is impulse control


and develop a conscience. This first goal is
accomplished naturally: as people grow up within a
particular society, they pick up on the expectations
of those around them and internalize these
expectations to moderate their impulses and
develop a conscience.
2. Perform certain social roles

The second goal of socialization is to perform


certain social roles. This Second goal is
occupational roles, gender roles, and the roles
of institutions such as marriage and
parenthood.
3. Cultivate sources of meanings and values

The third goal of socialization is cultivates


sources of meaning and value. This third goal is
through socialization, people learn to identify
what is important and valued within a
particular culture.
Roles
Is the set of norms, values, behaviors, and
personality characteristics attached to a
status.
Status
Is the position that an individual is expected to
hold in a group or a community; and the
behaviour that we expect from the person
holding such a person is his roles.
1. Ascribed Status

Is the social status of a person that is assigned at


birth or assumed involuntarily later in life.

2. Leader

A leader is the one in the charge, the person who


convinces other people to follow.
3. Popular

Refers to being liked, enjoyed, or admired by many


people or by most people in a particular group.

4. Membership
It expresses both personal identity and social
identity. The state of belonging to an organization,
or an agreement by which someone joins an
organization.
5. Intelligence

"The action or faculty of understanding" this is


an uncountable noun shows capacity of mind
especially to understand principles, truth and the
facts of meaning acquire knowledge to apply
into practice.
6. Altruism

It is the selfless act of helping others without


expecting anything in return. When we act to
promote someone else's welfare, even at a risk
or cost to ourselves.
