    A vessel is designed for an internal pressure 200 kgf/cm 2 and at operating temperature of 290

    C. Design the gasket to keep it away from crushing out. Class II vessel is to be considered
    for butt welded joint without backing strip for the vessel with inside water head of 24 m and
    inside diameter of 2.1 m, heated by direct steam for the jacketed vessel. MOC is 2824-1974.
    Estimate also for the maximum diameter of a open, possible without giving any
    compensation.
