of companies are JCB, Mahindra, TATA Hitachi, Godgrej.

My Role: Purchase Executive - Engineering

Sourcing and Vendor Development –
• Localization of components in India by assessing supplier’s capability and
manufacturing feasibility for Commercial vehicle manufacturer.
• Potential supplier identification based on supplier Matrix i.e. supplier capabilities,
Product range, Existing customer & Initial assessment.
• Discussion with suppliers for competency & capabilities.
• Visit supplier for initial assessment & better understanding.
• Acquire Techno-commercial proposal from supplier.
• Do should costing to estimate the component cost.
• Study, compare and evaluation of supplier quotation (Quote analysis).
• First level discussion and initial negotiation with supplier.
Should Costing –
• Data capturing and Costing of Laser Cutting, Fasteners and Washers, Manufacturing
components, Hydraulic, Pneumatic components.
• Destructive BOM preparation & Part process mapping and Costing of Proprietary
components of fixture.
• Should costing of parts based on direct design input.
• Should costing for upcoming project to calculate BOM cost and entire product cost to
analysis upcoming product cost to bring down to meet target cost.

Significant Accomplishments
• Proficient in SAP based material management system.
• Handled Laser Cutting , machined parts, Folding parts, welding process assessment at
component level.
