PART I: ABOUT YOURSELF
1/ What are your 03 biggest strengths? Please tell us your past experiences in which you
utilized your strengths the most. (No more than 300 words)

Eagerness to learn: I am a person who always thinks that I have many imperfect, so I
always listen and learn from people around me to improve myself.
Dynamic: I always find change for myself to contact with many people. When I have a task
I will try to finish it so perfect and on time.
Positive: I usually see everything in my life with positive viewpoint so I always smile and I
want to give positive energy to everyone.
In a high school, I joined many activities with my school, my CLB. As you know, when join a
activity , we need learn everything to support it such as teamwork, computer skills,
communication skills,… so I think I have some experience from this.

2/ What are your 03 biggest weaknesses? Please tell us your action plan to improve your
weaknesses. (No more than 300 words)
 Lack of confident: I think I need consolidate a lot of knowledge and experience after I will
confident with my decisions.
Eassy to change: Because I am lack of confident myself, I usually be listened to others.
However, sometime I must do things that I don’t want. So I think I need to be firmer than in
the past by solving problem with confident.
Agile but prone to mistakes: I usually try to do everything quickly but I am not careful, so I
am modifying this habit by I will try to clam down when have a problem.

PART II: ABOUT BEC

3/ What are the top 3 keywords that you are most impressed with BEC? Please give some
explanation. (No more than 150 words)

Challenge Your Limits: Because we are still young, we should dare to challenge ourselves
to realize what we can do and what is lacking.

Human-oriented organization: With the goal of developing, myself comprehensively, I find

BEC, a club focusing on human development, will be suitable for me.

Cross-function structure: Actually, I still haven’t imagined what I suitable for, so when I
heard that BEC allows club members to flexibly take on different role in each activity of the
club. I’m so excited.

4/ Out of 35+ clubs in FTU2, why did you choose to "wings up and glide into" BEC? Why do
you think BEC should choose you to be a part of us? (No more than 250 word)
 I choose BEC because BEC allows members to change different positions in each
program, which other Clubs do not have. Especially, Bec's members are super cute,
enthusiastic and transmitted to the motivation for me apply BEC.
Maybe because the application form must be in English, I face many limitations in
expressing my love for BEC. But if I have the chance, I think I will do better. I may not be
the best, but I will try to be the most improved.

5/ What do you expect to gain when becoming a part of BEC? (What BEC is expected to provide
you with?) (No more than 150 words)

I have a chance to become a part of BEC, I hope I will have an environment that gives me
the opportunity to discover myself and see which field I am suitable for. In addition, I want
to create many relationships and learn from experiences from my predecessors.

 - Most Preferred department: External Affair
With my ability to communicate and persuade others, I think I am suitable for the EA
department. Although this is my first time encountering this field, I believe that with your
guidance, I will complete the job very well.
- Second-most preferred department: Human Resources
With a sociable personality and liking to connect people together, the human resources
department is the environment that I personally want to try. I am also a person who knows
how to listen to others. I think that will help a lot in the field because to bring strangers
together we need to listen and understand them.

7/ Through a visual representation (a simple sketch, a visual created with a design tool such
as Photoshop or Illustrator, a video, or any medium of visualization), please illustrate how you
perceive "leadership" in a unique way. Don't forget to explain the meaning of your

In my opinion, a leader is like the locomotive of a train. Leadership is the skill of directing
everyone in the team to bring the best results and is also a source of motivation for the
whole team to progress together. A good leader will lead the whole team to develop
strongly. In case the locomotive has difficulty locking, the whole ship will not be able to
operate effectively.

PART III: SITUATION

8/ Suppose that you are a team leader. Your team is responsible for a critical project with tight
deadlines. However, in recent weeks, you have been facing personal family issues and so find
it challenging for you to manage your work effectively. As a result, you have failed to monitor
and control the team's progress, and your team is falling behind schedule.

The whole team has been working in a disjointed manner, with poor coordination and
communication, without the strict guidance from you. Two team members have been involved
in a conflict during their collaborative work, and you were not aware of it timely to settle the
conflict.

For the next one week, what will you do to address all the above issues and ensure the project
gets back on track?
(No more than 300 words)

First, perhaps I will frankly admit my mistake and apologize to the team for not being able
to complete the job well. Next, we will sit down with the two members who are having a
conflict to talk and together come up with the best solution for both of us to work in a
healthy environment. Finally, about myself, I need to quickly rearrange everyone's work
and put everything back on track. Maybe the working time is very tight and everyone will
feel pressured, then after completing the project I will reward or throw a party to
compensate everyone for their efforts.

9/ Suppose that you are a member of a team and your teammate - Mike, has under performed
these days. He is doing a part-time job as a waiter in a Coffee shop four evenings per week
because his family is facing adverse financial problems. As a result, not only does his health
deteriorate, but his performance at school as well as in BEC also goes downhill.

You are the only one who knows his personal situation and he asked you not to tell anyone.
Meanwhile, your team leader is struggling to hold Mike accountable for the team's common
goal, but Mike has always used his incompetence as an excuse. He has promised to change
several times, however, there is no sign of improvement.

In this case, as a team member of this team, what would you do?

 If I was a Mike’s friend, I would support him in team activities, for example in meetings, I
can summarize the content to send to him later or if he needs someone to practice with, I
will be ready when possible. If the situation does not improve, I will advise him to consider
what is most important now to ensure the health and effectiveness of the group.
