Background
The Action Foundation (TAF) is a community-driven organization registered in Kenya to end exclusion,
discrimination, and violence towards children, women, and girls with disabilities in marginalized communities.
We work to reach those furthest from necessary services and opportunities by working with their caregivers
and the community around them. This helps these vulnerable groups build better lives for themselves, grow
their resilience, and cultivatelasting change. Our mission is to build inclusive and resilient communities where
children, women, and girls with disabilities can thrive. We envision a fully inclusive Africa where children,
women, and girls with disabilities can realize their maximum potential.
Role Overview
As a Finance and Operations Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance and Operations
Manager in day-to-day financial operations and management of our organization. This position requires
meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
Job Description/Requirements
Financial Tasks:
i. Assist in the preparation and management of the organization's financial records and budgetary
controls.
ii. Process invoices, payments, and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with
organizational policies.
iii. Maintain financial documentation, including receipts, contracts, and financial reports.
iv. Assist in preparing financial reports for internal use and donor reporting.
i. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of program activities, expenses, and beneficiaries.
ii. Support data collection and entry for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
iii. Prepare reports on program outcomes and impact.
Compliance and Grants Management:
ii. Providing leadership and direction to the Hub and Workshop team and support staff.
iv. Ensuring financial and personnel requirements are met in a timely manner.
vi. Updating personnel information and maintaining an effective filing and record keeping system.
vii. Providing administrative support to The Action Foundation's social enterprise, Paa.
Education
iii. Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office suite.
