Tackling projectile motion launched at an angle, Paradisian scribe and science whiz Jeffrey Niño T. Dela Cruz earns
a chance to join the Regional Siyensikula Competition 2021 as his video will already be submitted as an entry of the
Division of San Jose Del Monte City on August 13, Thursday.

Dela Cruz’s topic falls under Physical Science and his video, along with 20 other schools’ division entries will be
evaluated on August 16 to 17 next week.

Ma’am Nancy Dormido, senior high school science teacher coached him in the said event. After Ma’am Teresita
Gojo-Cruz, Science department Head Teacher III forwarded the memorandum to her, Ma’am Dormido admitted
that she was hesitant at first because of time constraints but still asked permission from Sir Edwin Adriano,
Assistant Principal II and Ma’am Joy Brigola, SHS Coordinator.

“We didn't notice it was the group of Jeff who continued in spite of all the hindrances. Out of three groups
kuno...sila lang nagpatuloy so nagbuo kami ng technical working group. Nakita ko din ang eagerness ng group,”
Ma’am Dormido explained.

Aside from the coach herself, the technical working group (TWG) consists of five other senior high school science
and math teachers along with validators from junior high school science department and SHS. Ma’am Gojo-Cruz
also served as the event head.

This year's virtual Regional Science and Technology Fair (RSTF) with the theme "Agham, Pananaliksik, at
Teknolohiya: Kabalikat sa Matatag at Maunlad na Pamayanan" features Siyensikula that aims to showcase the
students' competence, resiliency and creativity in making an original three-minute video clip focusing on science
and technology concepts.

The judging process consists of three steps: peer-to-peer review, popular vote, and evaluation and selection
committee review (final stage). Paradisians are encouraged to support the school/division’s entry by liking and
sharing Dela Cruz’s video that will soon be posted via the official Facebook page of DepEd RO3- RSTF 2021.

The awarding ceremony is set on August 19, 2021.
