SCI-MATH CELEBRATION IN GAMUT NATIONAL HIGH

SCHOOL
NARRATIVE REPORT
As an educational institution, Gamut national Highschool conducted a
SCI-MATH CULMANATION with the theme, “Integrated approach in
science and technology for sustainable future” last October 10, 2022.

In line with this, the program was facilitated by Sir. Kevin Ruina,
assistant sci-math coordinator with the help of the sci-math officers.
The program was hosted by Ma’am Jean Banug and Decemark Berdin.

The program begins at exactly 8:30 in the morning. As a Philippine

institution the program started with the giving of respect to the country
by singing the national anthem led by Ma’am Rossie Vim Fernandez
followed by the offering of prayer to god almighty led by Ma’am
Gemaima Unclara. Meanwhile, Ma’am Jessica Duyan, math coordinator
and Ma’am Jean Banug, science coordinator introduced the contests for
students, such as Microscope Focusing, Quiz Bowl, Poster Making,
DaMath Challenge, Soduko, Jingle and Math Trail but the math trail
weren’t able to perform because there was only 1 group. After which,
there was a dance contest performed by the parents and school officers,
it was very hilarious and was admired by the majority.

After the contests, it was followed by the oathtaking for the officers
from every association. First was the oathtaking for GPTA, SGC, SSG
and Faculty Officers to be led by Honorable Jovelyn Malinao, barangay
captain, second was for HRPTA Officers led by Honorable Loreto
Oranza Jr., education chairperson, third was the oathtaking for
classroom officers leaded by Honorable Antonieto Togonon, GPTA
President, and lastly was the oathtaking for the club organization leaded
by Mr. Joel Ganancias, SGC Chairman. After that Ma’am Lorna
Vermon, give her gratitude to all the parents and students who
participated the event that makes the morning session a successful one.
In the afternoon session was the search for GINOO AT BINIBINING
AGHAMATIKA 2022 and the Sci-math jingle contest. Before the
pageant embark, Sir. Decemark Berdin stated the criteria for judging.
The pageant has a production number, uniform attire, sci-math attire and
interview. During the interview, some candidates were mentally blocked
because of nervousness. In the pageant, candidates were very stunning
which made the audience mesmerized and amazed. After the pageant
was the proclamation of Minor and major awards to the candidates.
There are 12 candidates, 6 for boys and also 6 for girls but only 2 of
them wins. The winner for Ginoong Aghamatika was Luis Enrikie
Mendez, from Grade-10 and the winner for Binibining Aghamatika was
Jessa mae Magtahas a grade- 12 student. After the proclamation of
winner, Mr. Joel Ganancias the SGC Chairman delivered an
inspirational message and was followed by Ma’am Lorna Vermon.
After that, the proclamation of winners in the morning session was
announced.

To end up, the day ended with a blast and excitement for everyone. The
students led the school to premises with joy and feeling fulfilled as they
bring home their victories and triumphs. The teachers were also happy
because their students uphold the responsibilities which made the Sci-
Math culmination a success!
