In this research study, the qualitative method is used.
The broader goal of qualitative research is to deeply investigate strategies to mitigate its effects and promote better sleep hygiene for overall well-being. This research method is to allows the researcher to knows about the causes of student 's that experience sleep deprivation. RESEARCH DESIGN
This study is qualitative. Sleep deprivation occurs when
an individual fails to get the amount of sleep that they need because of a certain situations or events that prevents them to. Phenomenological research design focuses on understanding a certain phenomenon in the universe as well as the everyday experiences of human beings. RESPONDENTS OF THE STUDY
There were 10 respondents for this study. All of
the respondents were chosen from San Jose National High School's Grade 11 Senior High School and are currently enrolled in the First Semester of the School Year 2022-2023. The respondents were selected from those who experience sleep deprivation. SAMPLING PROCEDURE
Purposive sampling was used by the researchers.Purposive
sampling, as discussed by Campbell et al. (2020), is a non- random sampling technique used to intentionally select participants or cases that possess specific characteristics relevant to the research objectives. It allows researchers to target a specific subgroup or phenomenon of interest and maximize the representation of that group in the final sample. SAMPLING PROCEDURE
By deliberately choosing participants who can provide
valuable insights, researchers can enhance the depth and richness of their data, leading to a more comprehensive understanding of the research topic. The study's data collection will be simple because the number of respondent is manageable RESEARCH INSTRUMENT
These research instruments is a survey about sleep
deprivation,it is designed to gather qualitative data about experience and impact or negative effects of sleep deprivation for individually or combination for assess sleep deprivation its quality and daytime functioning. Researchers typically select the most appropriate instrument based on the specific goals and objectives of their study. Back to Agenda DATA GATHERING PROCEDURE To guarantee ethical conduct in gathering the required information for the study, the researcher followed these procedures:
- Prior to commencing data collection, the researchers sought
permission from the school to carry out the study. - The next stage involved acquainting the respondents with the study and allowing them sufficient time to respond to the interview questions. - Lastly, the collected data was organized and prepared for analysis and interpretation. Thank you!!
