Subject: Letter of Appointment

Dear Ms. Lozano,

We are pleased to offer you the position of Administrative Assistant and this letter sets out the general terms
of the appointment which will be effective on 10 April 2023.

1. Your contract is with MERA Advisory Services DMCC. However, your engagement and responsibilities
extend as well, if necessary, to our related companies.
2. Your monthly compensation will be AED 2,500 inclusive of allowances which will be paid at the end
of each month. Breakdown will be as follows:

Basic monthly salary – AED 2,000


Accommodation Allowance – AED 500

3. Other benefits:
• Employment visa and medical insurance. Please note that should you terminate your employment
in less than a year, you have to reimburse the Company with the visa fees.
• Annual leave and sick leave as per the UAE Labour Law.
- Annual Leave: 30 calendar days (22 working days) - In case of leave apportionment (as when
you opt not to avail of straight 30 days leave), leave application shall be subject to
Management approval and can only be availed of after serving an initial period of 6 months.
In all cases, 30 days annual leave is to be taken in agreement with the Management and can
be availed of after spending 1 year with the company. Two or more employees should not be
on leave at the same time / within the same month.
- Sick leave: You shall not be entitled to any paid sick leave during the period of your probation.
Sick leave after the probation period should be with Medical Certificate.
• Ticket allowance of AED 3,000. Your first ticket allowance will be after two (2) years, thereafter
you will be entitled to an annual ticket allowance payable on your work anniversary.
• Company postpaid DU line (work mobile)
• Salary increment may be given for good performance and after satisfactory evaluation of work,
but subject to Management discretion / approval.
4. The probationary period will be six (6) months. The company reserves the right to terminate the
employment in case of unsatisfactory performance or failure to meet the expectations of the
company. Notice of termination of employment of either party before the completion of the
probationary period will be one (1) month.

5. Working hours will be 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday, inclusive of lunch break. However, your
position may necessitate additional hours spent inside or outside the office to effectively carry out
your functions. No additional compensation will be paid for such time.
6. While serving the company you will be required to give your whole time and attention to the business
and to faithfully carry out your duties, and use the infrastructure of the office only for business
purposes, and in this context you shall not:
• At any time during the continuance or after the termination of your employment under this
contract, except by the direction of this office, divulge, either directly or indirectly, to any person
or company any knowledge or information which you have acquire during the course of your
employment by us concerning our affairs or our clients’ affairs or any business, property or
transaction in which we or our clients may be or may have been concerned or interested, or use
such information to the detriment of our company.

• Draw, accept or endorse any bill on behalf of this office or in any way pledge our credit or enter
into any contractual obligations on our behalf, except insofar as may be authorized by the
Company.

• At any time do any conduct causing damage or calculated to cause damage to this office or the
reputation of the company. In this respect, you shall conduct yourself properly and with sobriety
in all respect and at all times.

The terms and conditions of your employment may be subject to change but any changes will be intimated to
you in writing.

We shall be grateful if you will signify your acceptance by signing this Letter of Appointment.
