MODULE 1:
Note: This section should start with a new page to highlight the start of the module contents. Ideally, each topic in the OBE syllabus
should have a module designed for such purpose.

1. LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of this unit, the students are expected to:

Cognitive:

1. An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics and science to solve mechanical engineering

problems.
2. An ability to identify, formulate, and solve mechanical engineering problems.
Affective:

1. Listen attentively during class discussions

2. Demonstrate tact and respect when challenging other people’s opinions and ideas
3. Accept comments and reactions of classmates on one’s opinions openly and graciously.
Psychomotor:

1. Participate actively during class discussions and group activities.

2. Express opinion and thoughts in front of the class.

2. EXPECTED OUTPUTS

At the end of this module, the students should complete or submit the following outputs:

1) Module Activity
2) Prelim Examination

3. COMPLETION DEADLINE _______1 hour____

Note: Specify here how long this module should take in terms of number of hours/days.

Note: Discuss here the details of the sub-topic that support the main topic. Each main and sub-heading may have
paragraphs with a variety of elements in it such as text, figures, tables, bulleted lists, numbered lists, etc. The topics
should answer the introductory, enabling and demonstrative domains of learning outcomes. Add more main topics and
sub-topics if necessary.

Mechanical engineering is one of the fundamental types of engineering, and it is also containing a
large quantity of sub-categories, such as heating and cooling, thermodynamics, manufacturing engineering,
and more. There has always been a need for mechanical engineers, and since there are very innovative
solutions coming about in more specialized mechanical engineering fields such as robotics and industrial
engineering, we expect mechanical engineering and its sub-categories to be in demand in the future. Even
Google's former Director of Engineering thinks this is the future, especially robotics engineering.

There are multiple options for mechanical engineering degrees online and on-campus in a more
traditional setting. Nowadays, it does not really matter whether you earn your undergraduate or graduate
degree online - it is very common and most employers view the curriculum the same. As some know, a
study by the US Department of Education stated that those that studied at least a portion of their
coursework online actually retained more information and had better learning outcomes.

Below are some of the most requested Mechanical Engineering or similar programs on our site -
just click on the button. We find that many people interested in mechanical engineering are also interested
in other engineering programs that are related, such as aeronautics, electronics, and industrial engineering.
Feel free to reach out to them for more information to see which program is right for you.

As with most big decisions, weighing your options and speaking with a few different mechanical
engineering or similar programs to give yourself some options to make the best decision for you is a solid
choice. If you're like most people, you have an idea of what you want to do, but you have some time to
decide, and that is usually best done by talking with the university's engineering department.

II. ACTIVITY
Note: In this section, discuss the required hands-on exercises at self-pacing, collaborative, experimental or simulation approaches.
This section should answer the enabling or demonstrative domains of learning outcomes as facilitated though synchronous,
asynchronous and offline modalities. Include the link/s of the actual worksheets using Google Suite or online Microsoft Office
applications or similar platforms or multimedia.

Create an essay telling why do you want to pursue the mechanical engineering program. Put your
essay on MS word.

III. EVALUATION
Note: Discuss here the mode of evaluation to be conducted, which are not limited to objective types of quizzes, long exams, or
essays, etc. Include the link/s of the actual worksheets using Google Suite or online Microsoft Office applications or similar
platforms or multimedia.
