Consumer terrorism
- False online food review:
To maximise one’s profit, many online food reviewers have gone to all lengths to attract
public attention even though it means degrading others' reputations and uploading
erroneous information. Their actions have caused great harm to the companies’ faces and
revenues. For example, Vo Ha Linh, a well-known Tiktoker has been blamed for her rude
and falsified comments on the snail restaurant that she visited, for fame. Before people
acknowledged that her claim was wrong, they had vehemently boycotted the restaurant as
given her fame on Tiktok, this had made the restaurant suffer financially. But it turned out
that her complaints were exaggerated and wrong!

2. Consumed consumer + Illegal activities

- Human + sex trafficking
As was documented on a show on VTV called “Bay”, there were illegal human trafficking
activities which primarily targeted at people who were uneducated and impressionable. They
hooked them up with flattering job offers which claimed “easy and well-paid work”, and
people fell for this trick. They ended up being trafficked to Cambodia and forced into slavery
and sexual abuse. This had caused tremendous pain for the victim’s families and the victims
themselves, both physically and mentally.
