> Concepts of Politics and Governance > Political Ideologies 1. What do you learn most from each main topic that you didn't understand before? -In Politics and Governance, I learned that it has a concept that tackles the whole government to be a united one. It makes the government to have unity and teamwork and use their roles for a better administration. I understand now that politics has a big control in every situation in our social affairs, it means that politics has the power to manage people because order, power and justice is involved, it is what politics are known for and sometimes it affects the lives and well being of the people, mostly people in the lowest sector. Furthermore, there are many branches of government that I've heard of before but I didn't understand its purpose, not until it is discussed. The 3 branches of government have its purpose to give people protection and to ensure governments reliability. -In Political Ideologies, I had a hard time understanding it because for me it has a very deep meaning. But then I did some research and I knew that it has something to do with anarchism and absolutism, such as anarchism believes that they don’t need a government because everything about government is unfair and restraining the freedom of the people in the society. Then, absolutism tackles a government that is run by a king or a queen who has total control in people’s lives and the society. For me, both of them are not right things to do when leading a country, for the reason that in every country, we need to have a leader that will help and guide us in every aspect and as a leader, you need to be transparent to the people you’re leading in order to have a better country. Moreover, I totally understand its purpose and after all, that is what it is. 2. Give one problem from each in terms of the application of what you learn. How would you address such a problem? -In Politics and Governance, we, people of this nation have the freedom to vote and to choose who is the best and worthy in every position, that is why we need to have the knowledge and exceptions that a vote cannot be bought nor paid for. We need to be responsible and fair in voting because in the end, we are the one who will suffer. -In Political Ideologies, anarchism’s problem is that they don’t have a government to follow and no one ruled them. It is that in the long run, it will cause problems about the people’s unity, if no one will give them laws and regulations to follow, everyone will do what they want and they will not understand each other when there are things they don’t get along with. In addition, the only problem in absolutism is that it is ruled by king or queen and people doesn't have the freedom to choose the leader they want.
