Lesson 1: INTRO TO ICT

 INFORMATION- refers to the knowledge obtained.


 COMMUNICATION- is an act of transmitting messages.
 TECHNOLOGY- refers to application of science.
 ICT -refers to all of the devices, networking components, applications, and
systems that allow everyone to interact in the digital world.
-refers to the use of communication technology such as laptop, phones,
internet, etc. To send, save, and edit information.
-CONVERT, STORE, PROTECT, PROCESS, TRANSMIT, and RETRIEVE
information.
 IT (Information Technology)- refers to an entire industry that uses computers
and other equipment to manage information.

Lesson 2: USES OF ICT IN OUR DAILY LIVES

 COMMUNICATION- people communicate to others thru chat, e-mail, voice mail


and social networking. Cheapest means of communication.
 JOB OPPORTUNITIES- ICT enables organization to operate more efficiently,
employing staffs with ICT skills is vital to the smooth running of any business.
 EDUCATION- schools use a diverse set of ICT tools to teach students.
 SOCIALIZING- social media has changed the world. We access information thru
news and socialize thru social media platforms.
 ENTERTAINMENT- ICT allows us for quick access to movies, music, or games
from the internet.
 HOME ELECTRONICS- ICT equipment is used to increased access to home
care.
 AGRICULTURE- ICT in agriculture helps in the growing demand for new
approaches and focuses on enhancing agricultural and rural development.
 PUBLIC SECTOR MANAGEMENT- ICT is used to facilitate more convenient
government services, make the government more transparent and accountable
to citizens, promote a more efficient and cost-effective government.
 BUSINESS- ICT establish a hassle-free and secure communication flow and to
meet daily operational tasks.
 FINANCE- ICT used to trade financial instruments, to report a business's
earnings, and to keep records of personal budgets.
 MEDICAL SCIENCE- ICT is related to the devices, resources and tools needed
to improve the acquisition, retrieval, storage and use of information in health and
biomedicine.
