Is the informal transmission of information , gossip or rumour spread from person to person
(Srivastava and Purohit, 2021)
BENEFITS;
Alternative system: formal system not capable to provide information to all in some cases
and this gape is covered by informal system
Discloses grievances: the employees disclose without any hesitation their needs, sentiments
and their emotions to their authority.
Easy interpretation: under the formal system the information is giuven by the top level
management so in informal system it is for the employees to take the explanation and
information
Rapid communication : informal communication transmits very fast than formal
communication in an organization
Efficiency increased: employees are able to discuss their problems and find their solutions
and it can also improve productivity in the work system
Send recommendations: employees easily inform their superior about their demands and
their problems and the way to develop the implementation system of the work. Also
provides an opportunity to send the recommendation to their management.
