2.7.1 Removal of the Oil Pump Cover

Remove as follows:
Show/Hide Checkboxes

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface, shut down the engine, and set the parking brake.
Chock the tires.
2. Disconnect the batteries at the negative post, including the batteries for the auxiliary
HVAC, if equipped.
3. Drain the transmission oil. See graphic below for the location of the oil drain plugs.

4. Remove cap screws that attach oil pump cover to the transmission housing.
5. Remove the oil pump cover.
