    5.8.1 Removal of the Pilot Bearing


    Remove as follows:
    Show/Hide Checkboxes

    1. Park the vehicle on a level surface, shut down the engine and set the parking brake.
    Chock the tires.
    2. Disconnect batteries at the negative post, including batteries for the auxiliary Heating
    Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), if equipped.
    3. Remove the transmission. For instructions, Refer to section "Removal of the
    Transmission" .
    4. Remove the clutch. For instructions, Refer to section "Removal of the Clutch" .
    5. Using a puller, remove the pilot bearing.
