2.4.1 Removal of the Countershaft Speed

Sensor
Remove as follows:
Show/Hide Checkboxes

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface, shut down the engine and set the parking brake.
Chock the tires.
2. Disconnect the batteries at the negative post, including batteries for the auxiliary
Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), if equipped.
3. Disconnect the transmission wiring harness from the countershaft speed sensor cable
(1).

4. Remove the screw that attaches the sensor to the transmission housing and then
remove the sensor.
