VI. RATIONALE:

The lac session on the National Reading Program for teachers is a strategic and purposeful
initiative aimed at advancing literacy education and instructional practices within the national
framework. The rationale behind this session is grounded in the recognition of the profound
impact that strong reading skills have on academic achievement and overall cognitive
development. By immersing teachers in the National Reading Program, the session aims to
provide them with a comprehensive understanding of the program's objectives,
methodologies, and recommended instructional approaches. This initiative aligns educators
with national standards, fostering a uniform and high-quality reading curriculum across
schools. Furthermore, the session encourages collaborative learning among teachers,
enabling the sharing of effective strategies and resources to enhance literacy education.
Ultimately, the National Reading Program lac session strives to empower teachers with the
knowledge and tools needed to cultivate proficient readers, thereby contributing to the

XII. Monitoring and Evaluation:

Monitoring and evaluation is an essential component of every activity. The committee


will ensure the smooth implementation of the training. The outcome determines the possible
solutions and recommendations that will improve the delivery of instructions to the learner.
After the training is completed, a narrative report and documentation will be submitted to the
District Office as mode of verification.
