Water Reusing: -

Water reuse is the method of recycling treated wastewater for

beneficial purposes, such as agricultural and landscape irrigation,

industrial processes, toilet flushing, and groundwater replenishing….

How can we reuse water???

• Place a Bucket in the Shower. The easiest way to start reusing

water at home is to collect some of the water you use in the

shower.
• Reuse Water from Old Drinking Bottles. Have a small

collection of half-drunk water bottles in your car? Gather them

up and use the leftover water on your plants and lawn.

• Use a Rain Barrel to Save Runoff from Your Roof. In addition

to reusing water from inside your home, you can also reuse

water from outside your home.

Water Harvesting:-

Water harvesting is the activity of direct collection of rainwater. The

rainwater collected can be stored for direct use or can be recharged into
the groundwater. Rain is the first form of water that we know in the

hydrological cycle, hence is a primary source of water for us…...

Rainwater harvesting is one of the simplest and oldest techniques of

self-supply of water for households, having been practiced for

thousands of years in India and other nations. Installations can be

created for various scales such as families, neighborhoods, and

communities, as well as institutions such as schools, hospitals, and

other public buildings….

How Water Harvesting can be

done??

• Storage of Direct Use. In this method, rainwater collected from

the roof of the building is diverted to a storage tank....

• Recharging Groundwater Aquifers….

• Recharging of Bore Wells....

• Recharge Pits....

• Recharge Shafts. ...

• Recharging of Dug Wells....

• Recharge Trenches....

• Percolation Tank...
