Formative Assessment Submission Instructions

1. To access the Formative Assessment questions and submission tool you must first go to the respective
module page (Contract law/Property law/IPHR). Please note that only students registered for these modules
are eligible to take part in the exercise and submit answers. If you are registered for these modules but do not
see the modules under your list please contact us by raising an enquiry on the online enquiry system via the
student portal as soon as possible before the deadline date.

2. Once on the Module page you will need to click on the ‘Submissions’ link.

3. This will then display a link to the ‘Formative Assessment’

4. This link will take you to the Formative Assessment question and submission page where you will find all the
instructions required to complete the exercise. Please read all the information before making your
submission. Once you are ready to submit your answer you need to click on the ‘Add submission’ button at
the bottom of the page.

5. Here you can upload you submission by either clicking on the arrow which will bring up the file picker
window. Once you have located and attached your file you must click on the ‘Upload this file’ button. Please
note that your file must be in Microsoft Word, Open Office or PDF format.

6. The file will then appear on the file submissions screen. Your next step will be to ‘Save changes’.

7. You will then see your file under the ‘Submission status’. In order to finalise your submission you must click on
the ‘Submit assignment’ button. Until the Submit assignment button is clicked you may edit your submission
(by clicking on the ‘Edit submission’ button and replacing the file with an update one) up until the deadline
date of Monday 4 February 2019 (23.55 GMT).

8. Once you have submitted your assignment your Submission status will change from ‘Draft (not submitted)’ to
‘Submitted for grading’. Please note that if you do not click on this button your file will not be submitted
and your submission will not be marked.
