 Title: Lucy’s Story: How I Feel About My Body as a
Teenager.
"Lucy's story: how I feel about my body as a teenager"
Lucy struggles with her body image and doesn't always feel
comfortable in her own skin. Despite this, she tries to focus on the
aspects she likes about herself, such as her eyebrows, eyelashes, and
naturally tanned skin. She realizes that body image plays a significant
role in a teenager's life, often influenced by celebrities and social
media.
To feel better about herself, Lucy wears clothes that make her feel
comfortable. She has a particular dress that makes her feel confident,
not because it's fancy, but because it fits her just right. She often finds
herself wearing the same outfit day after day, which consists of a
different t-shirt, black leggings, and her Mickey Mouse jumper.
Lucy is also aware of the impact of social media and the female
stereotypes it perpetuates. She notes that many teenage girls she sees
posting on social media use fake tan and nails to look a certain way.
She believes this is due to the images they see on platforms like
Instagram and Snapchat.
Lucy thinks parents should be careful about what they say around
young people as it could impact them for the rest of their lives. She
believes that while parents should encourage a healthy lifestyle, they
should also provide flexibility for their children to make their own
decisions.
Finally, Lucy has a message for all teenagers: appreciate what your
body can do, not what it can't do. In the words of Little Mix, "take off
all my makeup because I love what is under it.
