academic experience different than at a non-faith-based university? What value will this difference
add to your educational experience?

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm
you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
I feel that at GCU, the employees really care about your well-being and your success in meeting
your goals, and they do whatever they can to help you. I am starting later than I anticipated due
to injury and even during this setback, the staff was encouraging and helped me to continue on.
In secular institutions it has been my experience that you have to be independent, and have little
support. I strongly believe GCU is setting me for success with the support and resources I need,
as well as the encouragement to pursue my calling. As a Christian myself, it is valuable to me to
be able to attend a university that is aligned with my beliefs and values. GCU is set apart from
other non-faith-based university’s by integrating faith into the curriculum and this helps me to
remember God’s purpose for my life. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to attend this
university.
