 - ICT is referring to all technologies that provide access to information’s which transmit
communication which unite and connect the world as one.

How is ICT affecting your daily life?

- We are now in the modern age. We now live with the various forms of technologies which has
played a big role and contribution in our life. Thru ICT, our lives become easier and the
communication are faster and become easier. ICT has a great impact on our daily life. Thru ICT, I
could be able to access my learning materials just a click from my ICT devices, I could be able to
access data and information about what happening not just in our country but all over the world for
example if there is a typhoon, thru my cellphone I can easy monitor the weather condition or I just
watch in the television. ICT helps me to easily connect with my parents, friends, classmates, and
other people whom I wanted to reach. Instead of writing them a letter, which could take a month or
a week to arrive, I can just use the messenger to call or text message which can be received in just
a minute. Or I just make a call and send to the radio station. During the pandemic, ICT is indeed a
great help to learning. We know that during this pandemic were not able to enter in the school but
thru the help of ICT, we can still study through the help of google classroom and google meet, it
also helps me to easily access information whenever we have an assignment, Thanks to ICT, I can
easily get information about the topics I need, which are more detailed, accurate, and reliable. So,
ICT is very important to us because it make our life easy and make us comfortable.

What is ICT? ICT is an acronym which means Information and Communication Technology. ICT is
referring to all technologies that provide access to information’s which transmit communication which unite
and connect the world as one and ICT or Information Communication Technology is a modern medium of
connectivity among people from different parts of the world that changed the system of life. It has a great
impact in every individual, and of course, in the society.

ICT is one of the tools which can use to change our life become better, to change the world to
become a better place. Because of the ICT I can use to continue exploring and searching more knowledge
about the world and gaining more knowledge and knowing better on everything in my environment. ICT is
one of the reasons of all changes in my life, thru ICT, I can able to explore more and get some knowledge
which can be make me a real person, as a better person. It gives me more understanding about life today.
Despite the pandemic we are encountering and suffering, ICT play an important role in our society, it has a
power for us to live energetic and meaningful life. Thru, ICT I access more information that I need for
everyday schooling. Because Internet has faster than searching to a school library. Even the deadline of
my assignment is coming, I can make it fast with the help of ICT. There’s a lot of problems arise during this
pandemic, like we can’t able to roam around, we lost the opportunity to enter in the school and we can’t
able to go over in our friends, but a relief, despite the pandemic, we could still be able to interact with one
another. We could still be able to communicate with our families, friends, relatives, teachers and
classmates thru the power of ICT program. There are devices under ICT which we are using nowadays that
impacted us a lot, the cellphones, laptop and others. ICT also has a great impact to our society. In all walks
of life, transactions become easy, fast, and reliable like in sending messages, money transfer, delivery of
services, relief and rescue operations providing early warning in case of disasters and calamities to ensure
safety of the society.

But on the other hand, it also has disadvantages to us. Although ICT has several advantages, it
also has some disadvantages. Nowadays, people tend to rely on the Internet too much that they believe on
everything that is written on the web page, which also made way for fake news to spread faster. There are
also cases of cyberbullying and online scamming because people tend to use internet more often than
ever. And it made me more dependent on doing any tasks of mine that there are times I just depend on
what the power of ICT does. It distracts me a lot. There are also times when I hold my cellphone, I just
forgot everything, all my tasks due to watching tiktok, playing games and watching videos. It makes me
become lazy. There’s also a time I forgot my classwork due to being addicted to phone instead of making
my activities I just sit in one side and playing ML. But I just realized, that the use of ICT has a limitation that
if we misuse it, danger awaits. We must have to use ICT in a proper, in a mannered way and don’t abuse it.
ICT has given us a lot of benefits which we can use for a better tomorrow and better future.
