Text Structure - It refers to how information is organized in a passage.

Sequence Writing - Information is organized in steps or a process is explained in the order in which it
occurs.

Spatial/Descriptive Writing - Information is organized in order of space (top to bottom, left to right).

Summary - It is a short or abbreviated version of a longer text.

Paraphrasing - This is a restatement and restructuring of ideas for the purpose of clarifying the meaning of
the text

Thesis Statement - It is a sentence of two that tells the reader your topic and what you say about it.

Textual Evidence - It is an evidence from a text that you can use to illustrate your ideas and support your
arguments.

Facts - It is a statement that can be proven true or false.

Opinion - It is an expression of person's feelings that cannot be proven.

Critique Paper - It is a formal analysis or evaluation of a text, production or performance.

Reference list - It is a part of critique paper where all the resources cited in your critique are being
provided.

Formalism - It is one of critical approaches which emphasizes the form of literary work to determine its
meaning.

Feminism - This criticism approach is concerned with the role, position and influence of a women in a
literary text.

Concept Paper - It is an in-depth analysis of any idea, situation, or practice. It can be on anything that you
find significant.
Extended Definition - It is a kind of concept paper which explains the nature of things by providing broad
meaning.

Project Proposal - It is a kind of concept paper that presents an idea for consideration by others, possible
for funding and support.

Comparison and Contrast - A rhetorical strategy that is advisable when the term is not too familiar or
popular with the audience.

Analysis - A rhetorical strategy that can be done by discussing the idea's components or its implication.

Giving Historical Background - This rhetorical strategy may enlighten the audience about the meaning of
a concept by giving its locale information.

Introduction - It is a part of extended definition where the information should catch the attention of the
reader.

Conclusion - A part of extended definition where the main points of the essay with reference from the
whole paragraph are being discussed.

Purpose - A section of project proposal which identify the problem or need of a reader that you wish to
address and justify the need for your proposed project.

Objectives - It states the Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time bound impartial of the
project.

Project Needs - Section of project proposal where we write a list of materials, personnel, equipment, and
space that will be needed to carry out the project.

Methodology/Project Design - Section of project proposal where we enumerate the steps to implement
the project.
