SUBJECT: REQUEST TO CONDUCT LIFE GUARD TRAINING

Dear CDR BELARMINO,

Concepcion have various coastal and island beach resorts, accommodations with pool facilities and
passenger boats that will transport guests on daily basis from mainland to island and vice versa. The
municipality aimed to empower our constituents and to be resilient by improving our emergency
responses and raising the awareness of vulnerable sectors on disaster preparedness being one of the
municipalities prone to disasters during rainy seasons and even during the advent of habagat.

In this connection, may I request your good office and your team to conduct and facilitate a 5-day Life
Guard Training on February 20-24, 2023 at Asturias Pension House, Poblacion, Concepcion, Iloilo to
train the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) 614 th squadron, Beach Resort and Boat
Passengers owner/crew on Flood Rescue, Water Safety, Water Search and Rescue (WASAR), and
understanding of the Republic Act 9993 known as the Philippine Coast Guard Law of 2009 and its
Implementing Rules and Regulation.
