AN ORDER FOR THE COMPOSITION OF MUNICIPAL DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND

MANAGEMENT COUNCIL (MDRRMC)

WHEREAS, in accordance of Republic Act 10121, the NDRRMP covers four (4) thematic areas namely
(1) Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, (2) Disaster Preparedness, (3) Disaster Response, and (4) Disaster
Rehabilitation and Recovery which corresponds with the National Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Council (NDRRMC);
WHEREAS, on Local Government level, it is important that the MDRRMO/MDRRMC will create
plans, programs, and activities that promotes public awareness on disaster preparedness. Also to put-up
infrastructure projects on identified hazard areas to mitigate and lessen the impact of calamities in our
locality. These approaches aims to strengthen the capacities of the people, as well as the Local Leaders to
be resilient in any kind of disaster, either man-made or natural;
